I met with Karla, a new client, a few weeks ago. She is in the process of trying to quit her day job as a chemist to open her own bakery. She told me that lately she had begun to realize how much she really doesn’t like what she does and that it was time for her to start going after her dream. She has always loved to bake and it had become now or never. It is one of those points I think a lot of us come to – the realization that life is too short to do something you hate. When you realize that it is more important and even sometimes necessary to take a risk and walk away from everything you know and everything that is secure in order to walk a path that may or may not work. It takes a lot of courage to do something like that and I felt privileged to be a small part of her new adventure (and my part was pretty easy… taking photographs of delicious bread, tarts, and cookies).
